Movement coaching; what do I offer?
I specialise in supporting those who may be new to exercise or may find the gym environment intimidating or daunting; potentially due to a lack of love for your body.
I understand that forming a loving relationship with your body can seem impossible for some people. And while it's a challenging and emotional experience, it's overwhelmingly liberating and powerful when you finally break free from these negative thoughts. Having experienced extreme difficulties with my relationship with my own body, weight and food over many years, I can offer an empathetic, holistic and supportive approach to exercise and movement which can lead to men and women of all ages feeling empowered and more at ease with their own bodies. It's never too late!
I will work with you to design a programme of activity that works for your body and that you enjoy. Examples include:
· Body weight exercises and stretching
· Walking
· Jogging
· Cycling
· Aerobics
· Padwork
· High intensity training
· Suspension training
Exercise classes
Group exercise is a fun way to enjoy moving, but can be a scary experience if it’s your first time and you don’t know what to expect. I can work with you in personal sessions to build your confidence and get you ready to attend group exercise classes. I can even come with you to your first couple of classes to offer support and encouragement as you start out.
I can also advise on where to find other types of exercise and movement as a progression if I am not able to offer it myself.
Where do I work?
Starting to exercise in public for the first time can be a nerve wracking or daunting experience, so I can visit you and work with you in your home or garden. I also love to be outdoors, and can work with you in a public outdoor place near to your home. I live in Deptford and primarily work in South East London, although will travel to other parts of London by negotiation.
